Just recently, the country got shocked with Aiko Melendez and Martin Jickain's recent break up. Last week, Aiko gave an interview regarding the separation, but as the days progress, more controversies keep appearing. Apparently, this time, Aiko is now dating a certain politician! Does this rumor have a nugget of truth in it? Find out, as the said politician gives The Buzz an exclusive interview!

Various write-ups claim that they have spotted Aiko with Patrick Meneses, along with other friends, in a public event. It turns out that the said politician is Aiko's former classmate in UP, whom she met last June of this year, when the school year started. In his interview, Patrick confirms that he was indeed with Aiko in a party, but they were with friends. He adds that they do hang out, along with their other colleagues from UP.

"Madalas kami magkasama eh," Patrick says, but reasons out that as her friend, he wants her to have fun, like any other friend should. "Aiko's going through a case right now, so we (her classmates) want her to have fun," he adds.

He says that he bumped into Martin Jickain before, but Aiko's ex-husband didn't show any aggression towards him, or AIko's other classmates: "Wala naman siyang pinkaita na anything negative or anything harsh sa kin."

In response to this, Aiko says that Patrick is just a friend, and was not the reason for her break-up with Martin. "I may be separated, but I am not desperate..." Aiko says in a text message.
