With her return to school, Monique has started to hear rumors about her, Gian and Janelle. She recalls the time she first met Gian, at a train station, a runaway like her. She gets irritated when one of her friends tells her that there’s news about Gian, Janelle and the party on TV.
At the palace, Janelle tried to make Gian smile with her ‘Gian’ replica doll. The prince however was unimpressed. She reminds him of his promise to see his parents. Gian reminds her to finish her lessons first. Janelle retreats to her room disappointed. She vents out her frustration on the doll, wrestling and kicking it on her bed. The next morning, she gets a surprise though, when the emperor announces that Gian will be going with her to visit her parents for 3 days. The queen worried about her son but the king told her it would be a good experience for Gian to see how an ordinary family lives like.
The press was already swarming in front of Janelle’s house when they arrived. Her parents were both at ease on how to treat their son-in-law. Janelle reprimanded Gian too, for not following simple house rules like removing his shoes upon entering the house. She also told her parents how stifling palace living is – they don’t even eat rolled lettuce! Gian, though got along fine with Elton, Janelle’s brother, for he liked the way how he teased his wife to no end.But the biggest predicament came when sleeping time came around. They have to sleep in Janelle’s small room and on one bed!
