Troy visits his grandmother at the palace. Coincidentally, the queen was asking her to choose the winner of the royal art award. The queen mother then asks her grandson to help her pick the deserving piece. This made the Queen Emma a bit uncomfortable.
Gian proceeds to teaching Janelle the traditional royal golf game. The queen mother was quite pleased with the energy the young couple is showing. Janelle successfully gets a hole-in-one and Troy's appearance was a breather for Gian for the princess was beating him at the game. While all these were happening the Riding Club misses another meeting because of Gian’s absence.
The following day, the couple makes their first public appearance at an exhibit at the royal museum. As Gian and Janelle pose before the press, a rotten egg flies through the air and hits the prince on the neck. Janelle tries to shield him with her hands. Security whisks them away but it was too late. The emperor was disappointed with the palace body guards but was assured by the prime minister that they will catch the culprits. Turns out it was part of Princess Josephine’s plans, to destroy the image of the prince and restore her son to the throne. The public may have pitied the prince this time but soon enough they will change their mind about him.
The incident makes Gian isolate himself in his room. Troy advices against Janelle’s wishes to see her husband, for he knows his cousin is the brooding sort. He also tries to dissuade Janelle by mentioning Monique’s name. But eventually Janelle can’t help but cry and barge inside the prince’s quarters. The prince sees her and teases her for how can she sympathize with him and flirt with his cousin at the same time. He expected Janelle to see him, for she always makes him laugh. He brushes her aside to leave for the Riding Club but he gets a hug from behind from his wife. This makes him stop though he makes a comment that Janelle’s probably guilty from flirting with Troy. He ruffles Janelle’s feathers again and she tells him he deserved to be egged.
Gian does not invite the princess inside the Riding Club so instead Janelle retreats to the royal arts school. Gian’s buddies continued to make fun of Janelle in front of him. He gives them a subtle warning to stop making comments about his wife. Monique tells him that she does not approve of Janelle being a princess – she has no manners and lacks refinement. Monique later attends the opening of Princess Josephine’s exercise studio. Troy’s mom discovers that she’s somewhat similar to her, a star ballet dancer at school, smart, ambitious. She later connects her to Gian’s party pictures, as the lady the prince is linked with. Josephine adds her as a vital part of her plan. She starts befriending Monique. |
