Janelle chooses to just ride along with the jokes of Gian’s friends. Troy joins Gian at the spa and reminds him to look out for Janelle especially that this is her first party as a noble. Janelle gets called out from the party because her friends Paris, Nicole and Hillary were caught by the security guards. Troy tells Janelle to bring them along and they return to the party in time for Gian’s opening of presents. Monique’s gift for Gian, a new MP3 player impressed their friends while Janelle’s gift, a pair of hand painted sneakers she did herself, was mocked. Janelle’s friends also wanted to give the prince a present, but instead he ends up embarrassing them. Gian also pretended not to care while his gang ridiculed the princess. Janelle felt really low and her friends tell her why she lets them treat her like a fool. She explains that she is the outsider and that she knows better than to get in their way. Troy overhears their discussion and tries to cheer them up. Their laughter echoed towards Gian, who was resting with his pals and Monique. He opens Janelle’s gift again. Monique catches him trying it on and distracts him by showing off her gift too. Unknown to them there were some men taking their ‘sweet moments’ on film.

They return to the palace the same evening to prepare for the Sunday ritual, which was happening in a few hours. Gian discovers another gift from Monique in the box, a silver cross necklace. Janelle learns more about palace ceremonies but without much help from Gian. She spends some time with Troy, teaches her a simple poem, not knowing she will be using it at the tea ceremony. Gian makes more fun at her by telling her to study so as to have ‘breeding’. Feeling insulted she calls him selfish and a coward.

At the tea ceremony, Janelle impresses the elders that the Queen Mother asks Gian to teach the princess the traditional golf game. Janelle felt very grateful at Troy for his help so in return she teaches him about the ‘basics’ in school; from simple terminologies to tips on getting out of scrapes to jokes.
