Rafael proposes marriage to Catherine, but he is shocked to learn that she had married Martin in Hong Kong.  She tells him that he is too good for her and that she doesn't want to ruin the great friendship they have.  Aura disapporves of the marriage and warns her granddaughter that sooner or later she will face the consequences of her actions.

At home, Martin introduces his new wife to Miguel and Scarlet, and they are susrpised to see Catherine now a part of their family.  Miguel and Scarlet believe that Catherine is just after Martin's money.  Catherine is determined to exact her revenge against Miguel, and she would get into an argument with Scarlet from time to time.
