Jericho Rosales admitted that he is still in denial after his girlfriend, Heart Evangelista, decided to end their relationship of three years. A couple of days ago, Echo arrived from Malaysia, where he is taping for a teleserye, and appeared confused about the issue. He said that up to now the things she said to him through "the phone, text or e-mail" are still unclear. "Hindi naman siya nagsisinungaling eh. In denial ako. Sinabi niya sa akin sa telepono, kung anuman ang (term) do’n, text or email na nagsasabi na ‘maghiwalay na muna tayo,’" confessed Echo.

The two have not seen each other ever since Echo flew to Malaysia last month to shoot scenes for an upcoming teleserye. Jericho and Heart had no opportunity to talk face to face since the actress is currently in Dubai because of showbiz commitments. Echo, who was set to leave again for Malaysia during the interview, also disclosed that Heart is not yet ready to talk. "I guess I have to accept the fact that she said good-bye. I told my loved ones ‘I guess it’s over.’ I guess… but when you say over, it doesn’t mean you cannot start over again. It means there is hope for friendship and maybe someday we can be together again," said the actor who is still willing to fix the relationship. The actor denied allegations of a third party on his part. He is being linked with his leading ladies – Brianna Evigan, the star of Step-Up 2 and his co-star in the film Subject: I Love You Virus and Malaysian actress Carmen Soo, his partner in the ABS-CBN and Double Vision project.

Echo said that he was not hurt about Heart saying she did not cry for him when she ended their relationship. The actor believes that the statement is not true and is convinced that his former girlfriend is only pretending that she is unaffected. He also broke into tears when asked about allegations that Heart’s parents still does not approve of him for their daughter. In between suppressed sobs, Echo disclosed that they have dreams for Heart and that they love her. He also apologized to them because their parents-daughter relationship got messed up when he came into the picture. "Pero masaya ako para sa kanila dahil sama-sama sila ngayon, dahil natutupad na nila ang pangarap nila kay Heart. Matagal yung panahon na nawala sa kanila," he said.

When asked for a message to Heart, Echo said: "I love you. Where there’s love, it is worth fighting for. But kung hindi na pwede ang relasyon, friendship is worth fighting for. Peace is worth fighting for. If there is a lesson (that) I’ve learned in this relationship, it is the value of each and everyone in my life and the value of my heart and how much I’m capable of loving."
