Experience the lives of people who live in a kariton with Adrian Ayalin this Tuesday evening on the Correspondents. A twist on the term ‘work from home’, by day these people roam the streets of the Metro searching for things they can sell, pushing the kariton which becomes their place to rest at night.
A kariton can house a whole family. Babies can be born there and raised. Some even take in dogs as pets. This not only shows how poverty-stricken the country is but also creativity and the will to survive of Filipinos. How can they all fit in such a small space? What future awaits these folks? Does the government have plans for them or will they just be further covered from the public view?
Live the life of people on ‘wheels,’ watch The Correspondents tonight, January 16, right after Bandila.
