Anne Curtis and Luis Manzano have been best friends for almost eight years now. Anne, whom Luis lovingly calls “Nippy” (Anne calls Luis “Manzano”), has also been interviewed numerous times about their being “soul mates.” "One good thing about Anne and me is that we’ve done a lot of projects together. Marami-rami rin kaming nagawa, pero never kaming nag-promo kung anong meron kami. Whenever we would answer [questions] about our relationship, [what we say] yun na yung totoo. Never kaming nagpapakilig lang. From that day up to now, walang nagbago sa amin and we have no plans on changing it," Luis stressed.

Despite the fact that they are both currently dating other people at the moment, the two friends share that they still try to keep in constant touch with each other, even if it’s only through random text messages sent throughout the day. “We admit that now that there are boundaries because we’re seeing other people. But it hasn’t changed our closeness. Our friendship will always remain,” Anne added.

The two friends, who are currently starring in the fantaserye Dyosa, also explained how they’ve managed to weather the highs and lows of their friendship. "Yung pinagdaanan namin ni Nippy says a lot about what we have. Just like any relationship, whether it be a very, very deep friendship or kahit yung nagmamahalan, at one point or another, kailangan niyo pagdaanan yung tampuhan at tampuhan for you to grow and appreciate each other more. So we had our fair share na tatawagan niya ko ng alas-kuwatro ng umaga para sabihin na she hates me na mga ganun. We all have our moments," Luis revealed.

Despite their ups and downs, the Dyosa actress admits that she’s definitely found a true friend in Luis. "I’ve found a lifelong friend talaga. Until the end, no matter what, I know he will always be there for me," she concluded.
