Hot Coverboy and budding television actor Zanjoe Marudo stars with Wowowee host and real-life girlfriend Mariel Rodriguez in the upcoming Komiks presentation Varga.Varga was created by legendary comic artist Mars Ravelo for Bulaklak Magazine in 1947. When Ravelo left Bulaklak Magazine, he signed up with Ace Publication and reworked Varga into his other super-heroine character Darna.

Varga is set to premiere after Kapitan Boom ends it successful run. Varga is the story of a powerful being from outer space who lands on earth to help protect mankind against the forces of evil, all with the aid of a very helpful girl.

But before Varga makes its debut, its leads stars have to deal the intrigues that have cropped up. After the abortion issue, Zanjoe now has to deal with rumors that he and girlfriend Mariel are living under one roof. "Normal lang naman na magkaroon ng ganyang isyu, pero wala e. Hindi naman totoo yan. Hindi totoong nag-li-live in na kami," explains Zanjoe.

Zanjoe also told ABS-CBN.com that he's getting used to all the intrigues about him and Mariel. Since they are a couple, they half-expect rumors like living-in, abortions, weddings, and other issues, to come their way.

P.S. Apart from Varga, ABS-CBN will reportedly also produce more Komiks series like Tiny Tony to be topbilled by John Prats and Dragona with Shaina Magdayao in the lead.
