Issues have hounded international pop star Billy Crawford non-stop when he came back to the country. He knows for a fact that his actions are magnified by the media because he is popular, but nonetheless, he also gets affected.
"Me and Apl.d Ap (of The Black-Eyed Peas) were talking about this," he started. "We get out of the Philippines. We work our asses off for us and for the country. Not many Filipinos are being noticed outside, whether it’s in Europe or worldwide. I get a little hurt whenever I come back to the Philippines. I think it’s really embarrassing na ipinagmamalaki ko… namin ang Pilipinas, and when we come back we’re bashed, just because of what network we’re in or tampuhan ng mga tao rito, which I understand. We’re very homey people, we’re very family-oriented. Naiintindihan ko ‘yun.
"To make the story short, I’m hurt, but as long as they don’t talk about my family, I’m good. Nothing can hurt me except the way my family would be," he said, adding that their love and all-out support keeps him grounded.
Also, just recently rumors have started to spread around on the Internet about Billy being allegedly seen in one of the hottest clubs in the Metro with Heart Evangelista. This has raised suspicions that they are an item.
Billy, considered as an international pop sensation, clarified that he and the actress share mutual friends and that his dad has a lot of friends whose kids have also become his buddies and going out with them is his way of touching base with his native roots.
