Game show queen and endorsement royalty Kris Aquino is in the hot seat once again. Early last week, rumors about a split with husband James Yap surfaced, after accounts of the latter's party antics spread to all corners of showbizlandia.

It started as a blind item; the husband of a famous TV personality was spotted at a hotshot party club at The Fort with friends. He was heard to have asked someone for “chicks,” referring to girls. He allegedly approached one girl and asked for her number. This blind item soon led to reports that the incident caused the couple to fight anew, and that they were headed for splitsville.

Days after whispered talks and discreet discussions, Kris and James were named as the warring couple. It was also reported that Kris moved out of their house and stayed at Discovery Suites for a week. Last Tuesday June 24, Kris was a no-show at a Boy and Kris live telecast, adding more fuel to the fire.

On Wednesday, June 25, TV host-columnist Ogie Diaz got a text message from Kris herself which he reported on his radio program, Wow, Ang Showbiz!, on DzXL RMN 558kHz. Parts of Kris's text message to Ogie read, "Hi pare. I was sick today (reason why she was absent on Boy and Kris) and missed your portion (on Umagang Kay Ganda). My mother-in-law called and was concerned. We (she and James) did have an argument and I stayed at Discovery Suites."

Kris admits that they are working out their issues like any other couple. "We have regular counseling sessions with Father Jun and with our family and friends." But Kris, showing a lot of maturity in this relationship, continued the message saying, "We are committed to each other and we love Baby James and Josh."

Kris also shared through the text message that they also don’t want to cause more stress or problems for their loved ones, especially now that her mom, Former Pres. Corazon Aquino is battling with cancer.
