Actress-TV host Iya Villania celebrated her 22nd birthday last Monday, June 23, at Malcolm’s Place in Makati in a party organized by the staff of Us Girls. The intimate get-together was attended by Iya’s closest friends in show business and a number of loyal fans whom she already considered as “buddies.”

Us Girls co-hosts Angel Aquino and Chesca Garcia and ASAP co-star Nikki Gil were just few of her closest girlfriends who made it to the party. But what really surprised Iya was the appearance of long-time boyfriend Drew Arellano whom she hadn’t seen for quite some time now.

“We’ve going steady for four years and month now. Yeah, ganoon na siya katagal,” shares Drew. He also told ABS-CBN.COM that they had just had a misunderstanding recently and that their surprise reunion was making up for the recent tiff. Both admitted that their super-hectic schedules are taking a toll on their relationship, which is why they want to make the most out of their time together.

With their relationship going on its fifth year, are there any wedding plans for anytime soon? “Hindi pa. Wala pa talaga,” Iya quickly replied. They’re both taking their time enjoying each others’ company and respective careers.

ABS-CBN.COM also got a chance to talk to Mommy Ellen who revealed to us how like her daughter Iya, she’s also entranced with Drew’s personality and character. “Okay sa akin si Drew kasi kitang-kita ko na love na love niya si Iya. Kita ko rin yung respeto niya kay Iya at love din niya ako. Masayahin din siya saka dinadala niya si Iya sa mga gimmicks niya, sa mga bar at kitang-kita ko na nagkakasundo sila. Mabait si Drew at family-oriented.”

If Drew were to ask for Iya’s hand in marriage anytime soon, would she readily agree to it? “Hindi pa naman alam ni Drew kung kelan, [pero] hindi pa handa si Iya. ‘Pag dumating na gusto na ni Iya magpakasal, okay lang.”
